About Me

Hi, I’m Caitlin. I started out studying how the brain works and ended up designing for the people who use it every day. My background in Cognitive Science (HCI) at UC San Diego taught me that good design is equal parts psychology, storytelling, and problem-solving.

Where I started

I began in neurobehavioral research labs, studying how people think and behave. That curiosity about human behavior, combined with my high school training in visual arts, naturally led me to UX design; the perfect blend of science and creativity.

Why design matters to me

I love uncovering insights that make technology feel intuitive and human. For me, design is about bridging how people actually behave with how products are built.

Outside of work

I stay connected to the community by volunteering with San Diego’s largest design org, SDXD. When I’m not designing, I’m usually out on the golf course or sketching with oil pastels.
